Embark on an amazing 3-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Fly-in Safari, starting and ending in Zanzibar! You’ll explore two of Tanzania’s most famous destinations: Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.

During the safari, you’ll stay in comfortable lodges, travel between destinations by plane, and have everything taken care of, including accommodation, flights, meals, and transportation. It’s a hassle-free way to immerse yourself in the wildlife and scenery of Tanzania!

 

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Zanzibar to Central Serengeti National Park

You’ll touch down at Seronera Airstrip around 11:00 a.m., where our safari guide will greet you. They’ll have a picnic lunch ready for you, and then it’s time to start your safari adventure. Around 1:00 p.m., we’ll pause for lunch before continuing our game drive, keeping an eye out for the big cats of the Serengeti and other animals.

As the day winds down, we’ll head back to Serengeti Heritage or a similar lodge, depending on availability, for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Get ready for an early start to catch the sunrise over the Serengeti during a thrilling game drive. It’s your best chance to witness predators in action and admire the breathtaking sunrise lighting up the savannah.

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll make our way to Ngorongoro. The journey itself is a game drive, with your driver keeping an eye out for the Big Five, wildebeest migration, and any other wildlife sightings along the way.

Optional Activity: Visit a Maasai boma to experience traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic village, and browse local souvenirs at the market. Please note, this activity incurs an extra cost.

Day 03: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

After breakfast, we’ll set off for the Ngorongoro Crater, often dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World. As we approach, you’ll catch your first glimpse of this vast and lush caldera from a panoramic viewpoint.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a haven for wildlife, boasting over 120 mammal species, including the renowned Big Five. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive black rhinoceros grazing on the grass plains and hippopotami enjoying a refreshing dip in the water.

From the comfort of our open-top vehicle, you’ll have the perfect vantage point to observe and capture photographs of Africa’s iconic wildlife. The crater is teeming with predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, alongside herds of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more.

We’ll pause for a picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool before bidding farewell to the crater and heading back to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
